I hear it said so often by our representatives in Washington that we must pay off the national debt by the year 2002 or we will be destroying the future of our children. Strange that their mentality never kicked in on this thought during the period that they were creating this debt. The American public is not naive enough to allow our representatives the luxury of placing upon it a guilt trip which should be shouldered by those responsible for the problem; namely, our representatives.
After lengthy study of our situation, our Congress has decided that the best way to reduce this national debt is to give a $350 billion tax cut to some of our citizens. Apparently there is not a mathematician among them.
