Nina Oliver Chalkley, 93, died May 27, 1995.
A native of Suffolk, she was the daughter of the late Lucy Riddick and Alexander W. Oliver II and the widow of Milton DeRohan Chalkley. Mrs. Chalkley was a member of the Suffolk Christian Church and the Suffolk Social Club. She was a graduate of Marion College with a degree in Music and for many years taught music.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Milton D. Chalkley Jr. of Suffolk; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Bruce Havens. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
