Helen Shackelford Vann Elliott, 78, formerly of Chesapeake, died May 28, 1995, in Waverly Health Care Center.
She was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church, Chesapeake. She was predeceased by her son, William Herbert Vann and her parents, Lola Turner and Peter Herbert Shackelford.
Survivors include one daughter, Sallie Vann Forrest of Suffolk; one sister, Kathleen S. Massey of Orange Park, Fla.; two grandchildren, Krista D. Forrest of Raleigh, N.C., and Stacey L. Forrest of Suffolk, Va.; and three nieces and one nephew.
The graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, May 30, 1995, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Michael Copeland in Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel in charge. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8 p.m.
