RENA H. MABRY

Rena Harris Mabry, 84, of the 200 block of Pocahontas Ave., died May 25, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Mabry was a native of Como, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late James Henry Harris and Mattie Ridley Harris and the widow of Eddie Thomas Mabry. She retired from St. Regis Paper Company after 30 years and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Ladies Chorus, L.B. Taylor Missionary Circle and the East Franklin Garden Club.

Survivors include a son, Algie H. Mabry of Franklin; daughter, Mrs. Virgie Marie Skinner of Franklin; two foster daughters, Mrs. Mamie S. Jenkins and Mrs. Mattie S. Faulk, both of Suffolk; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Piney Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Clarence Myrick. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. The body will be placed in church at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home.
