Sunnie Smith, 55, of the 300 block of W. 28th St., a retired sandblaster, died May 25, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He was retired from Best Repair.
Survivors inlcude his wife, Darnell Smith; two daughters, Annette Christopher and Cynthia Fentress; two sons, Sunnie Smith Jr. and Lamont Smith; a sister, Juanita King; a brother, James Smith; and four grandchildren, Teresa Smith, Crystal Gale Christopher, William Fentress Jr. and Danielle Fentress, all of Norfolk; two sons-in-law, Sylvon Christopher and William Fentress Sr.; and a host of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Jeanette Smith, father, Linders Smith and a daughter, Vernell Smith.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Olive Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Harry Davis. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will be received at 324 W. 28th St., where they will assemble at noon Thursday for the procession to the church. E.A. Hughes Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
