Doris Jean Perry of the 400 block of Barcelona Lane, died May 28, 1995.
She was born in Norfolk and was a member of Rock Church of Virginia Beach and a choir member. She was a self-employed cosmetologist and had worked at Montgomery Ward Co. and Hechts at Lynnhaven Mall. She was also retired from the Norfolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority after 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Perry; three daughters, Kristi R. Linyear of Virginia Beach, Vernika S. Torain of Maryland and DeShelle M. Jordan of Norfolk; her mother, Ida M. King of Norfolk; grandchildren, Gregory O. Blackett Jr., Vonez D. Blackett and Jocelyn L. Torain, all of Maryland; and a host of cousins and beloved friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Rock Church by Bishop John Gimenez. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
