Robert Henry Rich, 85, of the 3200 block of Foxgrove Lane, died May 29, 1995.
A native of Portsmouth, he retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Electronics, Shop (NU)67. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church and American Radio Relay League. His call letters were W4COW.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Watson Rich; a son, David Burke and wife, Kathleen, of Reseda, Calif.; a sister, Bernice Rich Sawyer of Baltimore; a brother, Jesse Paul Rich of Portsmouth; a grandson, Robert Burke and wife, Elisabetta of Pasadena, Calif.; and a great-grandson, Ryan Robert Burke of Pasadena.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Joseph Savinsky. The family will be at Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Andrew's United Methodist Church Organ Fund or to your favorite charity.
