WILLIAM F. BANKS

William Franklin Banks, 71, of East Chester St., died May 27, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Banks was born in Lewisport, Ky., and was a retired U.S. Navy pilot. He was a member of Ocean View Masonic Lodge (NU)0335 AF & AM; Order of the Eastern Star Chapter (NU)34; and the Silver Eagles.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynetta S. Sacherek of Rainier, Ore.; a son, Charley W. Banks of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Ruth Wiggins of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a brother, Glover R. ``Bob'' Whitaker of Calhoun, Ky.; a grandson, Douglas M. Banks of Richmond; a granddaughter, Amanda C. Banks of Richmond; and a sister-in-law, Mae Anna Banks of Owensboro, Ky.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Morris Bennett. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Military honors and Masonic rites will be accorded at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to the Arthritis Foundation or Miles Memorial United Methodist Church, Norfolk.
