Lois S. Hockman Dowdy, 65, of Richmond, widow of James E. Hockman of Virginia Beach, died Friday, May 26, 1995.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Dowdy; three daughters, Katherine Smith and Bonnie Maiden, both of Richmond, and Sharlene Waugh of Virginia Beach; three sons, Ronald Hockman of Richmond and James and David Hockman, both of Virginia Beach; her mother, Louise Skidmore of Richmond; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three stepchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
Her remains rest at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Homes, Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St. Rd., where services will be held at 11 a.m. today. Interment will be 2:30 p.m. today in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Virginia Beach.
