MARCELLUS W. FISHER

Marcellus Woodruff Fisher, 91, of the 4000 block of Godwin Blvd., died May 30, 1995.

A native of Emporia, he was a son of the late Edna Woodruff and William H. Fisher Jr. Mr. Fisher, a former resident of Baltimore, retired after 25 years of service, as a bus driver for the Metrpolitan Transit Authority. He attended Oakland Christian Church in Suffolk.

Survivors include his wife, Georgianna Brittingham Fisher, with whom he would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on June 20; a daughter, Lorraine F. Gayle of Suffolk; two sons, William Fisher of Manchester, Md., and Thoams Fisher of Baltimore; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Oakland Christian Church by the Rev. Mark Burns and Father Michael Fisher. Burial will be in Newman Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439.
