Elizabeth ``Betty'' Brinkley, 72, of the 5000 block of Carolanne Drive, a self-employed grocer, died May 29, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Brinkley was born in Cashville, Va., and was the widow of John H. Brinkley. She was the owner of Brinkley's Market.
Survivors include two sons, John S. Brinkley of Virginia Beach and Thomas H. Brinkley of Smithfield, Va.; two sisters, Marie Bradshaw and Bertha Bradshaw, both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Gracen Scott of Glendale, Md. and Aden Scott of Norfolk; a granddaughter, Jennifer L. Gruhlke of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Tommy Reynolds. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
