A group of 14 General Motors dealers in Hampton Roads have established the first dealer-funded GM Training Satellite Center in the country in Portsmouth. The city's mayor, members of the City Council, GM executives and owners of area GM dealerships are expected to attend the center's opening today at 10 a.m. The facility, at 726 Harbor Drive, will provide training for service technicians employed at 26 GM dealerships in Virginia and North Carolina. Previously, technicians at those dealerships traveled out of state to take the required courses. by CNB
