WEEKLY BRIEFING

OCEANA ADDS FURY: A 10th airplane has joined the public display at Oceana Naval Air Station with the arrival of the Korean War-era Fury, a snub-nosed jet flown by the Navy and Marines. The model at Oceana's Aviation Historical Park, an FJ-3M Fury, is on loan from the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, Fla. The Navy received 538 of the aircraft from 1954-1956, and 21 squadrons eventually flew them. The park is at the main entrance to Oceana, off Oceana Boulevard. Admission is free.
