Ernestine Nixon of the 1400 block of Anthony Drive, died May 30, 1995, in North Carolina Baptist Hospital Medical Center.
She was born in Richmond, was a member of New Light Baptist Church in Chesapeake and was a Choir member.
Survivors include eight sisters, Elizabeth Harris, Mildred Bell, Bertha Minor, Betty Mills, Marjorie Nixon, Deloris Langston, Dorothy Nixon, all of Chesapeake, and Edith Christian of Richmond; four brothers, Alonzo Nixon Jr. of Newport News, Samuel Nixon and James Nixon, both of Chesapeake, and Kelvin Nixon of Tacoma, Wash.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in New Light Baptist Church by the Rev. A.J. Scott. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing Friday at 3 p.m. The family will assemble at the residence at noon Saturday for the processional. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
