Fred Helton Priest, 70, of the 600 block of Great Bridge Blvd., died Tuesday, May 30, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Priest was born in Tarheel, N.C. He had retired from the Carpenters Local (NU)613 after more than 29 years of service.
Survivors include his two daughters, Ann Smith of Portsmouth and Sara Scharf of Chesapeake; his three sons, Clarence Priest, Freddie Priest and Mark Priest, all of Chesapeake; two sisters, Lula Prevatt of Baltimore and Sara Ellen Davis of Henderson, N.C.; one brother, James Franklin Priest of Chadburn, N.C.; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
