FRANCES MAE GREEN

Frances Mae Green (Stitt), 83, died May 30, 1995.

She was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, Portsmouth and Chesapeake. She organized and was business agent for restaurant waitresses in the early 1940s in Portsmouth and Norfolk. In later years she was a professional pollster for Lou Harris Polls and other national political and commerce polling firms. She lived in Parson's Residential Care Home the last several years.

She is survived by a son, Lawrence R. Trapp, Col. U.S. Army (Ret.), and daughter-in-law, Eiko Trapp, both of Salinas, Calif.; three grandchildren, Frances Trapp of Lake Mission Viejo, Calif., Terrence K. Trapp, M.D., of Salinas, and Janet Trapp, J.D., of Los Angeles; three great-grandchildren of Salinas; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Johnsie Stitt of Chesapeake.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 4, in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Brad Phillips. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, is in charge.
