Catherine Viola Bieber, 85, of the 1200 block of Laurel Ave., a retired bookkeeper and personnel manager, died June 3, 1995 in Oakwood Nursing Home.
Miss Bieber was born in Huntington, Ind., on Sept. 26, 1909. She retired from F.W. Woolworth after 45 years and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter (NU)297 in Huntington, Ind., and The Genealogical Society of Fort Wayne, Ind. She was the daughter of the late Ethlyn Myers Bieber and James C. Bieber.
Survivors include two sisters, Isobel Edwards of Santa Clarita, Calif., and Patricia Paluzzi of Chesapeake; a niece, Karen A. Summers; two nephews, Raymond Paluzzi and Douglas Paluzzi; and two great-nephews, Brandon Paluzzi and Mitchell Paluzzi, all of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Joyce Kramer. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
