Dale Landon Acree Jr., 69, of the 5500 block of Willow Lake Road, died Saturday, June 3, 1995, in Portsmouth.
Mr. Acree was born in Norfolk. He had retired from Sears & Roebuck as a television technician after 37 years. He was a member of Lee Memorial Baptist Church and was a deacon and trustee at the church. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was a member of the Bayside Hunt Club.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa M. Acree; two daughters, Gail A. Richner of Gahanna, Ohio, and Pat L. Kelly of New Berlin, Wis.; a son, Garry E. Acree of Moyock, N.C.; two sisters, Jeannette Hensley of Rural Hall, N.C., and Camille Moody of Riverdale, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Lee Memorial Baptist Church by Dr. Ray O. Jones. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of Lee Memorial Baptist Church, 4532 Portsmouth Boulevard, Chesapeake, Va. 23321.
