Mageline ``Lady Powell'' David, 49, of the 4100 block of Sloop Trail, died May 31, 1995, in Goochland, Va.
Mrs. David was born in Portsmouth. She was a member of New First Baptist Church Taylorsville. She was predeceased by her father, Wyatt Powell Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Edmond David of New York City; four daughters, Deborah L. Dabney, Venita David, Alicious David and Shamina David, all of Chesapeake; three sons, Antonio David, Michael David and Corey David, all of Chesapeake; her mother, Maggie M. Powell of Chesapeake; five sisters, Bessie Mae Carey of Emporia, Dorothy M. Mitchell, Maxine Wilkins, Shirlene Carter and Sylvia Powell, all of Chesapeake; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in New First Baptist Church Taylorsville by the Rev. T.M. Steele. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at noon Wednesday. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
