Mazah L. Sawyer Robinson, age 89, of the 1200 block of Shenvalee Drive of Virginia Beach, died Saturday, June 3, 1995, in the Beth Sholom Home.
She was born August 16, 1905 in Leachville, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Napoleon T. and Ellen Cradle Sawyer. Mrs. Robinson was the widow of Robert J. Robinson and a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan Robinson Moore of Virginia Beach, and Ellen Stoddert and her husband, Thomas M. Stoddert of Mount Airy, Md.; a son, Robert G. Robinson and his wife, Debbie Wilson Robinson of Virginia Beach; a sister, Laura Mercer of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren, Rhonda and her husband, Donald Panzera of Rockville, Md., Michael Robinson of Virginia Beach, Christy Robinson of Raleigh, N.C., Melissa Moore, Jessica Robinson and Benjamin Robinson, all of Virginia Beach; two great-grandchildren, Jeannine and Jennifer Panzera of Rockville, Md. She will be missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 6, 1995, at 2 p.m. in the Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Pastor Dr. Joseph Martin officiating. The family will receive friends at Twiford's Funeral Home, Ghent Chapel, 1920 Colley Ave., Norfolk, Monday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. At other times they will be gathering at the residence of the son on Shenvalee Drive in Virginia Beach. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association of Hampton Roads, 20 Koger Executive Center, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
