Mary Allsbrook Ward, 88, died June 4, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Ward was born in Tarboro, N.C., and was retired from C & P Telephone Co. after 42 years. She was the widow of George Frank Ward and was a member of Pioneers of America and Chesapeake Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mecie Williams of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and a son, James V. Todd of Newport News, Va.
A funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. in Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck, N.C.
