Mary Quinn Lambert, 89, died Tuesday, June 6, 1995, at the Coliseum Park Nursing Home.
She was born March 21, 1906, in Hampton. A graduate of Mary Washington College, she taught elementary school for many years and retired from the Hampton School System.
She was a lifelong member of the Central Methodist Church, where she was the first teacher of the Robert Raikes Sunday School Class, a member of the Comrade Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women, WCTU, and a charter member of Lois Lane Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Augustine, her daughter, Lois L. Whaley, and her son, William.
She is survived by a son-in-law, Thomas Whaley of Virginia Beach.
Services will be Thursday, June 8, at 11 a.m. in Central Methodist Church, 225 Chapel St., Hampton, with the Rev. Nolan Crowder officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
