Rosetta Virginia Harrison Williams, 81, of the 2800 block of Earlscourt Ave., died at Hillhaven Nursing Home on Friday, June 2, 1995, in Norfolk. She was predeceased by her husband, Irving M. Williams Sr.
Ms. Williams was a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church since Dec. 11, 1994. Prior to this time, she had been a faithful member and Deaconess of Third Baptist Church in Portsmouth and New Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include a son, the Rev. Irving M. Williams II of Bowling Green, Ohio; a daughter, Karen Yvette Powell of Portsmouth, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Joan M. Williams; a son-in-law, Samuel Powell Sr.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends that she loved so dearly.
The funeral will be held at Second Calvary Baptist Church on Friday, June 9, at 11 a.m. For viewing, the body will be placed in the church by 9:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Norfolk. Pastor G.V. Guns will officiate. Hale Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
