Susan Parker Kerr, formerly of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Indian Lake Estates, Fla., died June 2, 1995, in Palm Garden Nursing Home, Winter Haven, Fla.
Mrs. Kerr, born Jan. 14, 1933, was the daughter and only child of Elwood W. Parker and Elizabeth Sewell Parker and was the widow of Andrew Judson Kerr. She was a graduate of Chowan College, Murfreesboro, and had been a major benefactor of the college, along with her late parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood W. Parker.
She is survived by her son, Elwood Parker Bennett, 1008 Hibiscus Drive, Indian Lake Estates, Fla., and several cousins.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Garrett Funeral Home, Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cedar Grove Friends Meeting, Woodland, N.C., George C. Parker presiding. Entombment will follow the funeral services at Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro. Memorials may be made to the Susan Parker Kerr Memorial Scholarship Fund, Chowan College, P.O. Box 1848, Murfreesboro, N.C. 27855.
