Chester W. Van Benschoten, 93, of the 700 block of Kings Grant Court, a retired machinist, died June 6, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Van Benschoten was born in Stanfordville, N.Y., and was the widower of Dorothy A. Van Benschoten. He was a member of Christian Church Uniting of Virginia Beach.
Survivors include three sons, John Van Benschoten of Durham, N.C., Lynn Van Benschoten of Bowman, S.C., and Donald Van Benschoten of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Christian Church Uniting by the Rev. Forest O. Wells. Burial will be in Stanfordville Cemetery, Stanfordville, N.Y., at a later date. The family will be at 705 Kings Grant Court, Virginia Beach, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday to receive friends. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is handling arrangements.
