A teenage student will not be prosecuted for his participation in a fistfight with a fellow student who died in March.
Donnie Moore, Hampton police spokesman, said authorities have determined that the fight was not the cause of death. The decision not to prosecute was made after autopsy results became available.
On March 17, Jason Windley, 15, was pronounced dead at Sentara Hampton General Hospital less than an hour after he fought with a 14-year-old while the two were on lunch break at C. Vernon Spratley Middle School on Woodland Road.
