A 14-year-old boy who was being sought by police in connection with a shooting Monday morning was arrested Tuesday, police spokesman Larry Hill said.
The teenager, whose name was not released because of his age, is suspected of shooting 15-year-old Demond Snowden in the 1700 block of Vernon Drive at 9:41 a.m. He was charged with malicious wounding and using a firearm in a felony.
The 14-year-old was scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court at 10 a.m. today, Hill said.
Snowden, of the 1700 block of Campostella Road, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was listed in critical condition at a local hospital Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting apparently stemmed from a dispute, police said.
