Several Norfolk artists won awards at the 11th annual Stockley Gardens Spring Arts Festival, held May 20 and 21. The following artists were awarded prizes based on artistic achievement:
Clayton Singleton was awarded $1,000 for Best in Show for painting.
Jennifer and Bobby Parker received an Award of Merit of $125 for Mosaic Tile.
Eleanor Powell received an Award of Merit of $125 for painting.
Elizabeth Reid received an Award of Merit of $125 for sculpture.
Sara Kruger, a student at Maury High School, won first prize of $100 for photography.
Loretta Rose, a student at Maury High School, won second prize of $75 for photography.
Laurel Barnes, also a student at Maury, received the third prize of $50 for photography. by CNB
