JANIE B. FOX

Janie Butler Fox, 82, a retired bookkeeper, died June 7, 1995, in a nursing home in Suffolk.

Mrs. Fox, born in Isle of Wight County was the daughter of the late Alfred Rawles Butler Sr. and Minnie Rose Butler and was one of 10 children. She was the widow of Carey J. Fox and a member of Bayside Christian Church. She was retired from Colonial Chevrolet after 30 years and was a graduate of the Norfolk Business College. Mrs. Fox was past matron of the Virginia Chapter (NU)22, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include three sisters, Irene B. Howell of Franklin, Nellie B. Williams of Montgomery, Ala., and Minnie B. Holland of Suffolk; two brothers, T. Frank Butler of Portsmouth and Wilson M. Butler of Carrsville; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
