Senior Chief Roy J. Cole, USN (Ret.), 58, of Virginia Beach, died June 8, 1995, in a local hospital.
He was born in Los Angeles, Calif., and was retired after 30 years of service.
Surivvors include his wife, Marcia A. Cole; two daughters, Rhonda Cole Hartsell of Albermarle, N.C., and Donna Mitch of Milford, Mich.; a son, Daniel L. Cole of Elizabeth City, N.C.; two sisters, Wanda Denson of Sacramento, Calif., and Maxine Laughlin of Defur, Ore.; two brothers, Don Cole of Albuquerque, N.M., and Eddie Cole of Mesquite, Texas; four grandchildren, Crystal and David Hartsell, Carl and Daniel Mitch. He was predeceased by his parents, Lena M. and Herman L. Cole; a brother, Frank Cole and two sisters, Linda Dias and Juanita Wright.
All services are private. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements.
