At the June general membership meeting of the Outer Banks Home Builders Association, President Skip Saunders announced the $1,000 scholarship winners.
Chosen were:
Mark Winston King of Kitty Hawk, son of Winston and Rendy King and a January graduate of Manteo High School. King has been accepted to attend North Carolina State University.
Jennifer N. Perkins of Kitty Hawk, daughter of Richard and Juli Perkins and a graduate of Manteo High School. She will attend Peace College.
Joseph Richard Mercer of Southern Shores, son of Ricky Mercer and a graduate of Manteo High School. He will attend Elon College.
Natalie C. Weeks of Southern Shores, daughter of Steve and Kathy Weeks and a graduate of Currituck County High School. She is currently working toward a degree in social work at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. by CNB
