While criticizing Hollywood values may be considered just ``good politics,'' it is also true that there is an awful lot of trash in the movies and on TV.
Proponents will deny Bob Dole's accusation, but I agree with him. It amazes me that Hollywood's argument is and has always been: ``This is what the people want. When they stop coming, we'll stop producing (this type of film),'' or ``Just don't go (to the movie)'' or ``Turn the channel,'' etc.
Well, those arguments are shallow. There are so many people in the world that there are always going to be enough people to go to these films.
