Francis (Frank, Bocco) Janenko, 66, retired Army Sgt. Major, of Virginia Beach, Va., died June 8, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Janenko was born in Allentown, Pa., graduated in 1946 from Allentown High School, served over 29 years in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1977 from the School of Music at Little Creek, and was currently employed by Shealy-Hodges Corp., Virginia Beach.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marcella, and parents, Esther and Frank Janenko of Allenton.
He is survived by three children, daughters, Patricia of Easton, Pa., Nancy Davis of Birminghtam, Ala., son, Thomas, and wife, Lynn, of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Kris, Ashley and Lindsay; and one sister, Mary A. Gross of Harrisburg, Pa.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 11, 1995 at 3 p.m. in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park at a later time. The family will be at the funeral home one hour before the service, from 2 to 3 p.m. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
