Wholesale prices, for the second time in three months, were unchanged in May as the cost of both food and energy fell; other prices advanced only moderately. The Labor Department's Producer Price Index had shot up 0.5 percent in April, matching last January's advance, which had been the biggest jump since a 0.6 percent increase last November. Prices were unchanged in March. The index measures inflationary pressures before they reach the consumer. The Consumer Price Index for May will be released next Tuesday. (Associated Press) by CNB
