WILLIAM H. JORDAN

William Henry Jordan, 77, died Friday, June 16, 1995, in a local hospital.

Mr. Jordan was the son of the late Oliver Henry and Martha Parks Jordan. He was retired from Nu Car Carriers and worked for seven years for Barrier Island Resort. He was a member of the Masonic Temple of Norfolk.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce D. Jordan; a son, James C. Jordan of Lakeland, Fla.; three daughters, Louise Jordan Drake of Franklin, Va., Ann Jordan Trapani of Seaford, Va. and Doris Jordan Forehand of Chesapeake; two stepsons, Rocco Derentis Jr. of Chesapeake and Dario Derentis of Los Angeles; two stepdaughters, Capria Riddick of Manteo and Felecia Caballero of Cary, N.C.; a sister, Addie J. Morgan of Chesapeake; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A service will be held in Twiford Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Burr officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be at the residence of the daughter, 2216 Battery Park Road, Chesapeake. Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Society, 2112 Cunningham Drive, Hampton, Va.
