Gordon J. Callahan, 57, of the 3800 block of Liberty Ridge Road, a retired field engineer, died June 15, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Callahan was born in Gabriels, N.Y. He retired from Martin Marietta on June 1, 1995. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Suellen Callahan; two daughters, Lorilee Ann Campbell of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and Katrina Callahan of Virginia Beach; two sons, Shawn Callahan of Cary, N.C., and Barry Callahan of Virginia Beach; a sister, Shirley Moore of Morristown, N.Y.; two brothers, Donald Callahan of Ogdensburg, N.Y., and Gerald Callahan of Duarte, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church by the Rev. Father Thomas Caroluzza. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian wake service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Plaza Rescue Squad or to a charity of one's choice.
