6 HUSKEY RBIS PUT THE HURT ON PAWTUCKET, 11-4 HIS TRIPLE, HOMER IN LAST 3 INNINGS HELP BREAK A TIE, GIVE NORFOLK A WIN.

Butch Huskey had three hits and drove in six runs Friday night, three on a bases-loaded triple that keyed a five-run seventh inning, as the Norfolk Tides took an 11-4 International League victory over the Pawtucket Red Sox.

In the seventh, with the score knotted at 4-4, Pawsox reliever Mike Hartley got two outs after a leadoff single by Ed Alicea, who had three hits. But Hartley walked Derek Lee and gave up Aaron Ledesma's infield hit down the third-base line. Huskey cleared the bases on his hit off an 0-2 pitch and Alberto Castillo hit the next pitch over the centerfield fence as Norfolk (42-27) grabbed a 9-4 lead.

Huskey added a two-run home run off of Frank Rodriguez in the ninth.

Wes Chamberlain, in his first game after being sent down by the Boston Red Sox Thursday, homered in the fourth to give Pawtucket its first run.

It was the first hit off Tides starter Jason Jacome, who was making his first start since coming off the disabled list with a sore shoulder.

Jacome said he could feel some tenderness in his shoulder in the early innings. Tides manager Toby Harrah said that he would have pulled him in the sixth even if he still had a no-hitter going.

Castillo singled home Ledesma to extend Norfolk's lead to 4-1 in the sixth before Eric Wedge tied the game with a three-run home run off Phil Stidham in the bottom of the inning.

Stidham (2-1) pitched the sixth inning to earn the victory. Don Florence and Dave Telgheder finished the game without allowing a run.

Hartley (0-1) allowed five runs on four hits and one walk in 1 1/3 innings of relief to take the loss.

The loss dropped Pawtucket (33-32) into third place in the Eastern Division, half a game behind Ottawa.

NOTES: The Tides did not have to make a roster move to activate Jacome off the disabled list. They now have 24 active players on their roster with Paul Byrd still on the disabled list. ... The Tides head to Richmond for three games beginning tonight at 7. Reid Cornelius (2-1, 5.17) is scheduled to start against Brad Woodall (3-1, 3.90). ILLUSTRATION: BOXSCORE
