Ellis ``Rufus'' Cahoon, 81, of the 100 block of Frizzell Ave., a retired self-employed salesman, died June 16, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Cahoon was born in Columbia, N.C. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Mae Cahoon; a daughter, Nancy Colby of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Hattie Cowell and Beulah Cahoon, both of Columbia, N.C.; five brothers, John Cahoon, Lee Cahoon, Charles Cahoon, Marvin Cahoon, all of Columbia, N.C., and Ellis W. Cahoon of Hampton, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Dr. Paul B. Watlington. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
