Favorite book: ``The Song of the Lark'' by Willa Cather

Favorite TV show: ``Mad About You'' and ``ER''

High School memoir: The closeness of my class - we all stayed together from the fifth grade up to graduation, so we grew up together; this made the class atmosphere warm and wonderful to be in.

Most embarrassing moment: When I as in the ninth grade, I was on the Varsity Basketball Team for the first time, and during a game - after halftime - I got the front and back courts mixed up and ended up shooting (and making) a basket for the other team . . . in front of the whole school.

Advice for junior class I am leaving behind: Always trust in and love God and allow Him to work as He will in your life; but don't be lazy - work hard, do your best, and He will bless you in unimaginable ways. Never settle for second-best from yourself.

People I most admire: My parents, because they persevered in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds when I was born deaf. Doctors told them I would never learn to speak or be able to progress above the third grade level in my learning and reading; my parents immediately got me a speech therapist and never gave up. They have instilled in me the belief that nothing is impossible, and I admire them for sticking to what they believed was right. ALLIANCE CHRISTIAN
