CAREER TRACK

ADVERTISING

Pete Leddy was promoted to vice president/account supervisor with Barker Campbell & Farley in Virginia Beach. He will be involved in new business development and supervise accounts. He joined the advertising agency in 1988 as an account representative.

ARTS

The Virginia Opera in Norfolk re-elected Dixie A. Wolf president of its board of directors, and promoted Anita S. Friedmann from annual fund director to director of development.

HEALTH CARE

The Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk appointed Gerald J. Pepe associate dean for research and William Cooke associate dean for continuing medical education.

Pepe joined EVMS in 1978 and is professor and chairman of physiology.

Cooke joined the medical school in 1977 and is professor and chairman of pharmacology. He also supervises the school's library, Academic Computer Center and audiovisual services.

LAW

Taylor & Walker named Brian N. Casey a member of its firm in Norfolk. Casey has been with Taylor & Walker for six years. He specializes in civil litigation, insurance defense and family law.

Also, Richard W. Zahn Jr. has joined the firm as an associate. He will practice in general litigation. Zahn was with Jon Michael Babineau in Norfolk.

Janet M. Hoffman joined the firm of Joynes and Bieber in Virginia Beach conducting personal injury claims.

Hoffman was with the law firm of William D. Foster & Associates in Minneapolis.

MORTGAGE

Michael Hughes was appointed assistant vice president and area production manager with Signet Mortgage Corp. in Virginia Beach. Hughes was production manager with Beach Fed Mortgage Corp.

SERVICES

Henry P. Aspinwall was named president of Security Storage & Van Company, an agent of Allied Van Lines in Norfolk. He is the third generation of Aspinwalls to be president of the firm. His grandfather started the company in 1914.

Aspinwall has been with Security since 1978. He was a sales manager with the storage company for six years, and for the past two years served as vice president.

ORGANIZATIONS

The Advertising Federation of Greater Hampton Roads elected Lynn Harrisberger president for 1995-96. Harrisberger is the owner of Harrisberger Creative Ltd. in Virginia Beach.

The Eastern Association of College Auxiliary Services named Jeff Pittman to its board of directors. Pittman is assistant vice president for administrative services with Regent University. MEMO: Career Track reports upper-level executive and management changes. Items

accepted include appointments as chairman, president, vice president,

department heads, and partner or principal in a professional firm.
