Elwood C. Meekins, 82, died June 16, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Meekins was born in Columbia, N.C. He had retired from the Army Corps of Engineers after 20 years. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include a sister, Mertie G. Everton of Chesapeake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, in charge.
