Edgar Haines Brown Jr., of the 1600 block of Jana Court, a retired salesman, died June 19, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Brown was born in Landsdowne, Pa. He retired from Meadowbrook Hardware and was formerly general manager of Lums Hardware for many years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria T. Brown; three sons, David H. Brown and Thomas E. Brown, both of Virginia Beach, and Michael J. Brown of Chesapeake; a stepfather, Walter Fred Gregory of Norfolk; and a sister, M. June Wurtz of Prescott, Ariz.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Dr. Paul B. Watlington Jr. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
