The Rev. Ernest E. Northen Jr., 86, of Richmond, widower of Jeanette B. Northen, Chaplain U.S. Army (Ret.), died June 20, 1995.
Rev. Northen was a graduate of Bluefield College, the University of Virginia and Crozier Seminary in Chester, Pa.
He is survived by two sons, Paul E. of Raleigh, N.C., and Joseph C. Northen of Danville, Va.; his sister, Berthelda N. Cornett of Catlett, Va.; brother, Thomas E. Northen of Largo, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Richmond, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Graveside services will be private. A memorial service will be held at noon Friday at Bon Air Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Bon Air Baptist Church Music Ministry.
