BAXTER F. HAMILTON

Baxter Fenton ``Buddy'' Hamilton, 57, of the first block of S. Fairview Circle, died June 20, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Hamilton was born in Sarasota, Fla., and was a lifelong resident of Portsmouth. He was employed with P.P.G. Industries for 31 years. He was the widower of Jean Baber Hamilton.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl L. Hacker of Portsmouth; a son, Brian F. Hamilton of Chesapeake; two stepsons, Steven B. Carr of Moyock, N.C. and James G. Carr of Staten Island, N.Y.; a sister, Barbara Adams of Tarboro, N.C.; and 11 grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, by the Rev. Vick Ramsey. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
