On June 17, my wife and I headed to the Oceanfront to enjoy the art show and some of the fine food. This was before noon. For a half-hour we searched in vain for a parking place. All we could see were wall to wall no-parking signs and parking meters (25 cents for 20 minutes).
We live in Virginia Beach and pay taxes, only to be subjected to a tourist-trap rip-off endorsed by the City Council.
I feel sorry for the people who live at the Oceanfront. They have to buy a permit for a chance to park in front of their homes.
For our part, my wife and I will never again make the trip for any event.
