CDS FOR THE CAR A GROWING TREND MANY DRIVERS ARE FINDING THAT COMPACT DISC PLAYERS OFFER CONVENIENCE OVER CASSETTE DECKS.

Tammy Toler inserts a disc in her in-dash CD player. She and her

husband Mark have a three-disc player in their new Toyota 4-Runner.

She likes the convenience of loading several at a time rather than

handling discs while driving. Tammy says she used to scratch discs

by tossing them on the seat beside her.

Mike Watterson and his wife Sheila have six-disc changer in the

trunk of their Mazda 626. They play the discs via a remote control

pad inside.
