Carrie Elizabeth ``Baby Sis'' Epps Myles, 72, of the 2400 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., a retired private duty nurse, died June 20, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Myles was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Amos H. Myles Sr. She was retired from the Lydia Roper Home after two years. She was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church; Senior Citizens of COGIC; Civic League of COGIC; Sunday Night Usher; and Missionary of COGIC. She was a U.S. Women's Army Corps Veteran (WAC).
Survivors include a daughter, Annie B. Myles of Norfolk; a son, Amos H. Myles Jr., of Portsmouth; a sister, Hattie Williams of Portsmouth; four grandchildren, Rodney E. Drummond Sr., Brian Myles, Anthony McKinnon and Dorian Myles; two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ruby Brakefield of Jackson, Miss.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Mount Gilead Baptist Church by the Rev. Rudolph Perry. Burial will be in Hampton National Cemetery with military honors. Viewing will begin at noon Sunday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Monday. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Annie B.
