Lois Cooley Monk, 81, of the 200 block of Circle Drive, died June 22, 1995, in Guardian Care Nursing Home.
Mrs. Monk was born in Dothan, Ala., and was a Methodist. She was a former teacher and worked with her husband in a veterinarian practice. She was a member of Ahoskie Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Timothy Archie Monk; three daughters, Marianne Miller of Edenton, N.C., Helen Godwin of High Point, N.C., and Jean Kelly of Apex, N.C.; a sister, Ruth Steffin of Montgomery, Ala.; and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Highland Memorial Gardens by Dr. Kenneth Hall. Garrett Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation, 15825 Shady Grove Road, Suite 140, Rockville, Md. 20850. The family will receive friends at the home.
