SAMUEL H. REYNOLDS

Samuel Harwood Reynolds, 82, of the 3800 block of Stonebridge Landing, died June 22, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.

A native of Bluefield, W.Va., he was retired from Philbrick Inc. Mr. Reynolds was a member of Simonsdale Presbyterian Church, where he was an Elder and past Sunday School teacher of Youth and Adults. He was a member of America Fellowship Lodge (NU)148, AF & AM, Woodmen of the World Lodge (NU)70 and Monday Morning Fellowship Club.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen M. Reynolds; three daughters, Betty R. Philbrick of Portsmouth, Josephine R. Millett of Mount Jackson, Va., and Sharon R. Didio of Chesapeake; two sons, Samuel M. Reynolds of Virginia Beach and William D. Reynolds of Arlington Heights, Ill.; two sisters, Alma R. Winton of Roanoke, Va., and Dorothy R. Pennington of Kopperston, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Simonsdale Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Jack Ettershank. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to Simonsdale Presbyterian Church or the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 710 W. 168th St., New York, N.Y. 10032, Memorial Department.
