Name: Jennifer Tolentino Abrajano

Age: 18

Parents: Nonato E. and Erlinda T. Abrajano

GPA: 4.13

Extracurricular activities: ``Coffeehouse'' poetry club, vice

president of Key Club, National Honor Society, SCA, class vice

president, vice president of Filipino-American Youth Club and Church

Youth Board chairperson.

College plans: To attend Virginia Tech.

Career plans: Civil and environmental engineering.

Secret to academic success: My parents really deserve the

credit. I was always taught to do well in school. Early on I did

well because that was expected; now it is still expected, but it's

more out of habit.

Worst habit: Procrastination. (It's a bad habit, but I'd like to

think it works to my advantage since I work well under pressure.)

Favorite book: ``All I Ever Need to Know I Learned in

Kindergarten'' by Robert Fulghum

Favorite TV show: All the shows on NBC Thursday night

High school memoir: Coming out of my shell and being more

outgoing. Starting high school at a new place with new people meant

a fresh start for me.

Advice for junior class I am leaving behind: Make the most of

your senior year; it only happens once, after all. Between working

hard in school and planning for what happens after graduation, don't

forget to enjoy yourself, make time for yourself, and try not to

take things too seriously.

People I admire most: My father and mother. They've worked hard

to provide my sisters and me with the opportunities they never had

growing up.
